Renovate Committal Shelter, Salisbury – National Veterans Cemetery Administration
Polu Kai Services, LLC (PKS) was awarded a Task Order on our VA NCA IDIQ MATOC to renovate the existing committal shelter at the Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC.
PKS was responsible for the supply of a temporary portable chapel to offset impacts on renovation of existing committal shelter to allow for services to continue while existing was being repaired. The committal shelter work consisted of demolishing existing Standing Seam Metal Roof (SSMR), repairing rotted wood elements, installing a new SSMR system, repairing and refinishing tongue and groove exposed decking, installing two new exterior ceiling fans including new wiring and conduit, repairing/repainting existing double doors, and installing new Lighting Protection and Surge Suppression systems.
