Slope Stabilization, West Virginia National Cemetery – National Veterans Cemetery Administration

PKS provided all labor, materials, tools and equipment and supervision to perform the slope stabilization project; located approximately 1200 feet from the entrance of the cemetery on the south side of the cemetery access road.  The toe of slope was approximately 1260’ elevation and the crest of slope was at 1300’ elevation.  PKS shaped a drainage swale at the crest of the slope and removed and disposed of existing masonry pavers and geo-grid fabric.  PKS set up for a drilling operation approximately 1/3 up from toe of slope and drilled 13 24” diameter reinforced concrete shafts through existing soil and rock. PKS disposed of augured material removed from shafts, the existing pavers and geo-grid fabric; and restored disturbed area, and establishment of a soil retention ground cover.
